The photo is identical to that at https://gsmarena.com/asus_p835-2727.php Concerning the build shown in the photo, it shows Windows 7 Build 7652, and Windows 7 RTM was Build 7600. So this is clearly a very early post-Windows 7 build, and probably a branch specifically for ARM, rather than an early Windows 8 build, as has been suggested. In any case, it is clear that Microsoft had been working on WoA/WinRT for at least ten years now, but still no decent ARM device to show for there immense efforts (the original Surface (Surface RT) and Surface 2 just didn't match up to the hype – aesthetically it was Windows, but under the hood it was anything but). In comparison, the the development of the iPharce took only 5 or so years, commencing circa 2002, the rest is history, as it is said. Microsoft, if anything, really need to show to their shareholders that their decade-long work on ARM has been fruitful, and worthy of millions of dollars spend in R&D. The ultimate question is, when is the exquisitely engineered Surface Foldable™ arriving ? It could well be MSFT have ditched the ARM in favour of Intel Amber-Lake-Y (released in July 2018) which has considerable features to reduce battery consumption. We shall see in 2019, as we all cling to our seats with baited breath, as I continue to mock the trio of iNotches announced last week.
